the 2007 Conference
NECCC
is a non-profit camera club council with 80 member camera clubs in New England (Connecticut,
Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine). NECCC sponsors one
of the largest photography conferences in the U.S. each July at the
University of Massachusetts
in Amherst, Mass. Over 1,200 photographers from the U.S. and other
countries attend our conference. Attendees range from beginner to
professional photographer. Check out the 48
programs, events, and activities that
were held on Friday through Sunday, July 13, 14, 15, 2007. Need
directions or a map to the
conference? View a map of the UMass Campus.

Model Print Competition.
Here's a sampling of 2007's
speakers: John Paul Caponigro, Vincent Laforet, Bobbi Lane, Joe McNally,
Rick Sammon, Gary Stanley, Essdras Suares, Tony Sweet.
Among the 48 programs, activities, and events
were basic, intermediate, and advanced programs on general interest photography,
digital imaging, nature photography, lighting & portraiture, travel
photography, and photo-journalism. Most of the programs were presented three times each during the
weekend. Some of the activities and events included free camera testing,
photographing models, animals, and still-life setups;
door
prizes; and a photographic trade
show. Attendees experienced wonderful multi-projector slide shows, many set to music,
during the Showcase Theater presentations. The featured program for the weekend
was presented by the well-known photographer Joe McNally.
Door prizes
were given away prior to the feature program.
Bringing a non-photographer spouse, friend, or child? No problem! Showcase Theater programs are multi-media presentations that everyone can enjoy.
Free camera testing is provided by professional camera technicians. If you enjoy photographing people, we have models in indoor and outdoor settings. In Photo Hi-Jinx, attendees can shoot various still-life setups. Photo competitions are open to all attendees. The categories are pictorial and nature slides, black & white and color prints, and the new digital competition. Please request the 2007 conference flier and registration form for more information about July's fabulous weekend. Also check out over 310 links to web sites of interest to photographers. We thank the companies that generously provide sponsorship to the NECCC Conference.

Electronic Photograph Interclub Competitions
The New England Camera
Club Council will be offering member clubs an open electronic photograph
interclub competition starting in the fall of 2006. The rules are
outlined in the first pdf file on the
Electronic Photograph page.
The other three pdf documents provide information for host clubs and the
system being used to process and display the images for competition.
Member clubs should start planning now for this exciting new competition.
(Note that the dates will be forthcoming.)
Best Of NECCC
Prints Show
Award-winning prints from the latest NECCC Conference are presented as a
show accompanied by narration from a skilled printmaker. Reserve this
50 to 60 minute show for your club. A
downloadable form is also available.
Pictorial and Nature Interclub Competitions
Compete with other New England camera clubs in color slides
and color and B&W prints.
Slide and Print Circuits
Each club's work is sent to a commentator who prepares a taped commentary
and selects the judge's choice awards. The photographs and tape are sent round-robin
to each camera club who in turn picks popular favorites from the entire group of slides or
prints.
Taped Commentary
Your club's slides are sent to an individual who provides a taped
commentary of the work and returns them to your club. This can provide an
interesting program for your members.
Recorded Lectures
These include slides and an audio tape. The lectures are mostly
instructional and are good programs for clubs to present.
NECCC Bulletin
The official publication of the New England Camera Club Council is
published three times a year. Among its contents are informative articles written by
photographers; lists of events to photograph; winning entries reproduced from NECCC photo
competitions; and individual and club scores and standings. Also included are NECCC
Council news; conference information; notices of salon competitions; and information about
New England camera clubs. Keep up with what's going on by subscribing to the
Bulletin.
