Tax Exempt Organization
The New England Camera Club Council (NECCC) was established in 1937 and incorporated in 1963. NECCC is a charitable, tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and will be acknowledged both individually and in Semi-annual reports on the website.
For many years, the Council has accepted donations through two avenues, the General Operating Fund and the Memorial Fund. Donations to the General Operating Fund support the programs and services that NECCC provides to member clubs as well as virtual events. Donations to the Memorial Fund have been dedicated to supporting the scholarships NECCC gives annually to students pursuing higher education toward careers in photography, film, or video. After many years, the Memorial Fund has grown to the point where it is self-sustaining and capable of funding our annual scholarship program going forward. In consideration of this, the Board has voted that all future donations shall be directed to NECCC’s General Operating Fund. The Officers, Directors, and Service Coordinators of the Council are all unpaid volunteers. Even then, the cost of providing the services offered to member clubs significantly exceeds the nominal annual club dues.
Donations to NECCC support the services NECCC provides to member camera clubs throughout New England. These services include assistance in locating judges or programs, recorded lectures and commentaries, interclub and individual competitions, print study groups, and virtual events, to name a few.
Your gift to the New England Camera Club Council provides much-needed help to continue NECCC’s service to New England Region camera clubs.
Donations may be made “In Memory Of” someone or to acknowledge someone who has provided a presentation or service to a club or the Council. Thank you for your support of NECCC.
